In 1963, Stan Lee unveiled what would become his most enduring character in a throwaway book called Amazing Fantasy No. 15, the pre-ordained final issue of the series (a mint-condition copy of which now commands $27,500 from collectors). Spider-man's titles are the largest part of my comic collection. At one time, I was buying 5 different Spiderman titles each month. My first issues of this great comic were bought with my friend Paul Hansen while I was in the 2nd grade. Boy do I wish I had taken care of those now, but that's what 2nd graders do, huh?? I am excited about the Spider-man movie slated for Spring 2002 but have some reservations about the casting... still a must see in my book. I hope the sequal brings forth Venom, the best foe Spidey has had to face. Any casting people reading this site might want to make note that I would be great for that part if you are looking for a new comer to the big screen! One
of these days I will go back and catalog the great comic collection (7
boxes) to see just what I do have. |
