I put together these links to help job hunting.  You are welcome to any resource you find here.  These are in no particular order.  Best of luck in your search.  Just because a link is present does not mean I endorse it, this is just a reference.  Send me your links so I can add them to this resource. 

PROTECT YOUR SELF:  Identity theft is gaining speed thanks to the internet.  Thieves are using job search boards to steal your private info.  Its suggested that you :

  • do not list your social security or drivers license number on your resume
  • Use job search boards that you can post your resume anonymously
  • be wary of sites where you have to pay to get the information (credit card numbers)
  • research the company you are sending your information (most have websites)
  • Be careful when posting your resume on public boards
  • Resumes on personal websites are also vulnerable and the information is quicker linked back to you
When applying online, look for or symbols on the bottom line of your web browsers.  These mean you are connected to a secure web page and your information is better protected.  or no symbol means the web page is a non-secure page.  

(By default, most web pages including this one are non-secure pages)

The best way to discover that your identity has been stolen is to check your credit report often for bogus or wrong information.  Getting arrested for passing bad checks in Highwood Montana is another way.

Interview questions / tips

There are a number of web sites detailing the technical questions and mind benders people ask in interviews. A good starting place is AceTheInterview which has an archive of questions organized by language/technology.

The TechInterview weblog which is a bit more focused on brain teasers and DDJ has some general advice and ideas. An interesting spot is Chris Sells' collection of Microsoft interview questions.
