This barn owl was rescued by someone with good intentions. The owl was found with a broken wing. They fed the owl cat food which it ate. Turns out the cat food did not have the calcium the owl needed to repair the wing so it never healed and it ended up breaking more bones when trying to fly. Due to the human imprint of being fed (not learning how to hunt), limited flight ability, and getting the wrong diet early, this owl will not be released into the wild. | DSCF1543sm.JPG
